Responsibilities
~1 min read• Manage the complete procurement cycle from Purchase Requisition (PR) to Purchase Order (PO), delivery, and Goods Receipt (GR).
• Ensure timely availability of engineering spare parts, consumables, technical services, and facility-related materials.
• Develop sourcing strategies for engineering spare parts, service contracts, and facility management requirements.
• Identify critical and long lead-time items and establish proactive sourcing plans.
• Optimize sourcing between OEMs, distributors, and local suppliers.
• Conduct RFQ/RFP processes and evaluate suppliers based on technical capability, responsiveness, quality, and cost competitiveness.
• Apply Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) principles when evaluating supplier proposals, considering lifecycle cost, maintenance requirements, availability of spare parts, energy efficiency, and service reliability.
• Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, payment terms, and contractual conditions.
• Establish Blanket Purchase Orders (BPOs) and framework agreements for recurring requirements.
• Manage supplier performance and develop alternative suppliers for critical categories.
• Monitor procurement spend against approved budgets and support cost optimization initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies, approval matrices, and audit requirements.
• Maintain accurate procurement documentation and records.
• Collaborate closely with Engineering, Maintenance, Facility Management, QA, EHS, and Finance teams.
• Provide regular updates on procurement activities, supplier performance, supplier issues, and cost-saving initiatives.
Requirements
~1 min read• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 4–7 years of experience in Engineering Procurement, MRO Procurement, or Facility Management Procurement.
• Experience within an industrial manufacturing or pharmaceutical environment is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of engineering spare parts, maintenance requirements, and facility-related procurement.
• Understanding of local and international MRO supplier markets.
• Ability to review technical specifications and identify suitable alternatives.
• Strong negotiation, supplier management, and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Fluent in English.
