Job Description: Position Overview: As an FEA Engineer in the automotive industry, you will be responsible for performing finite element analysis (FEA) using ANSYS and HyperMesh to support the design and development of automotive components and systems. You will work closely with the engineering team to provide insights and recommendations based on your analysis, ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of performance, safety, and reliability. Key Responsibilities: Conduct finite element analysis (FEA) on automotive components and systems using ANSYS Work bench and HyperMesh. Develop detailed FEA models, including meshing, material properties, boundary conditions, and loading conditions. Perform linear and non-linear static, dynamic, thermal, and fatigue analyses for automotive applications. Interpret and document analysis results, providing clear and actionable recommendations to the engineering team. Collaborate with design engineers to optimize automotive component designs based on FEA results. Validate and correlate FEA models with experimental data and physical testing. Develop and maintain FEA best practices, standards, and procedures specific to the automotive industry. Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in FEA tools, methodologies, and automotive industry trends. Provide technical support and mentorship to junior engineers and interns. Requirements Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of experience in FEA using ANSYS work bench and HyperMesh in the automotive industry. Proficiency in creating complex FEA models and interpreting results for automotive applications. Strong understanding of automotive engineering principles, materials science, and mechanics. Experience with linear and non-linear static, dynamic, thermal, and fatigue analyses. Familiarity with CAD tools, particularly SolidWorks. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
