The Vice President will oversee and execute comprehensive fundraising strategies with a strong emphasis on corporate partnerships, sponsorship development, individual donor engagement, moves management, digital fundraising, and large-scale event management. This individual will serve as a senior ambassador for JEVS, building meaningful relationships with corporate leaders, philanthropists, board members, and community stakeholders throughout the Greater Philadelphia region.

The ideal candidate is an experienced advancement professional with a proven track record in nonprofit fundraising, relationship management, high-profile event execution, corporate engagement, digital fundraising, and team leadership.

   

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Chief Advancement Officer to develop and implement strategic fundraising initiatives that support organizational priorities and revenue goals.
  • Cultivate, solicit, and steward corporate sponsors, individual donors, and community partners.
  • Manage a portfolio of donors and prospects, utilizing a structured moves management approach to identify, track, and advance relationships toward increased engagement and philanthropic support.
  • Develop and execute individualized cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies for assigned donors and prospects.
  • Support and participate in major gift cultivation and solicitation efforts in partnership with the CEO, Chief Advancement Officer and other members of the Advancement team.
  • Identify opportunities to increase donor retention, upgrade existing donors, acquire new donors, and deepen overall donor engagement.
  • Secure sponsorships and strategic partnerships for agency-wide events and initiatives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate leaders and philanthropic partners throughout the Greater Philadelphia region.
  • Represent JEVS at networking events, community functions, and business leadership gatherings.
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase individual giving through digital fundraising channels, including email appeals, online giving campaigns, social media, peer-to-peer fundraising, and other emerging digital opportunities.
  • Partner with Marketing and Communications to develop compelling, donor-centered digital content and campaigns that drive awareness, engagement, and philanthropic support.
  • Use donor data and campaign performance metrics to evaluate digital fundraising efforts, identify opportunities for growth, and continuously improve results.
  • Support the development of targeted digital communications based on donor interests, giving history, engagement, and lifecycle stage.
  • Ensure digital fundraising initiatives provide a consistent, compelling, and mission-focused donor experience.
  • Provide leadership and guidance in the effective use and integration of JEVS’ CRM to support fundraising, relationship management, donor engagement, and advancement strategy.
  • Ensure donor and prospect information, interactions, solicitations, and stewardship activities are accurately documented and accessible to appropriate staff and leadership.
  • Establish and maintain consistent moves management practices, including portfolio assignments, relationship strategies, next steps, activity tracking, and reporting.
  • Utilize CRM data and reporting to identify prospects, monitor donor pipelines, evaluate portfolio activity, and inform fundraising decisions.
  • Collaborate with Advancement and other agency teams to strengthen data quality, reporting, and integration of donor and stakeholder information.
  • Support the development of dashboards and reports that provide leadership with visibility into fundraising activity, pipeline development, donor retention, and revenue performance.
  • Lead the planning and execution of high-profile fundraising events, including galas, donor cultivation events, volunteer recognition programs, and community engagement activities.
  • Oversee event strategy, sponsorship sales, logistics, production, vendor management, volunteer coordination, and stewardship activities.
  • Ensure events elevate the JEVS brand, deepen donor relationships, and achieve revenue goals.
  • Integrate events into broader donor cultivation, moves management, acquisition, and stewardship strategies.
  • Evaluate event performance and identify opportunities for growth, innovation, increased engagement, and philanthropic impact.
  • Supervise and mentor advancement staff and event-related personnel.
  • Collaborate closely with the Communications team to develop compelling donor messaging, digital campaigns, sponsorship materials, and other advancement communications.
  • Partner with executive leadership, program staff, and board members to support fundraising, relationship development, and engagement efforts.
  • Support Board committees and volunteer leadership involved in advancement activities, including helping board members identify prospects, make introductions, participate in cultivation, and support fundraising.
  • Foster a culture of philanthropy and relationship management across the organization.
  • Utilize CRM and other advancement technology to track fundraising activity, relationship development, donor engagement, and outcomes.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators related to donor acquisition, retention, upgrades, portfolio activity, digital fundraising, sponsorships, events, and revenue.
  • Ensure best practices in donor stewardship, moves management, event management, digital fundraising, data management, and advancement operations.
  • Regularly analyze fundraising and engagement data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Maintain strong coordination across Advancement functions to ensure a seamless and consistent experience for donors and partners.
