The Business Director is the senior business leader for Vision Care Hong Kong, with full accountability for business performance, P&L delivery, market competitiveness, and organizational leadership.
The role is responsible for returning the business to sustainable growth while protecting profitability and strengthening long-term market position.
This role requires a strong enterprise leader who can set clear strategic priorities, make disciplined resource-allocation decisions, build organizational capability, and lead a cross-functional team to deliver both short-term performance and long-term transformation.
Responsibilities
~2 min read1. Own Business Performance and P&L Delivery
• Take full ownership of the Hong Kong Vision Care P&L, including revenue, profitability, operating expenses, investment returns, and working capital discipline.
• Develop and deliver annual and long-term business plans aligned with regional and enterprise priorities.
• Restore the business to sustainable 3 to 5 percent annual growth while protecting or improving quality of earnings.
• Drive strong business performance management through forecasting, business reviews, risk management, and timely corrective actions.
• Build a culture of financial discipline, accountability, and clear decision-making.
2. Set Strategy and Drive Business Transformation
• Define the growth strategy for Vision Care Hong Kong based on market dynamics, consumer needs, customer priorities, competitive trends, and channel evolution.
• Identify the few strategic priorities that will create the greatest business impact and align resources accordingly.
• Lead the transformation from a traditional retail-led model to an integrated omnichannel growth model.
• Make clear choices across brands, portfolios, channels, customers, pricing, promotions, and capability investments.
• Ensure short-term commercial actions support the long-term health and competitiveness of the business.
3. Lead Commercial and Omnichannel Growth
• Lead the commercial strategy across key accounts, retail partners, e-commerce platforms and professional channels.
• Accelerate online growth while building a sustainable and profitable digital business model.
• Define the future role of offline channels and improve productivity, consumer experience, professional recommendation, conversion, and premiumization.
• Strengthen revenue growth management across pricing, promotion, product mix, trade terms, and investment effectiveness.
• Build strategic customer and partner relationships focused on joint value creation and long-term growth.
4. Strengthen Brand, Consumer, and Market Position
• Champion a consumer- and patient-centered approach to business planning and execution.
• Partner with Marketing and Professional Development teams to strengthen brand equity, category development, professional advocacy, and demand generation.
• Ensure brand investments are linked to clear business outcomes and measurable returns.
• Strengthen the company’s reputation as a trusted partner to eye-care professionals, retailers, platforms, and consumers.
• Ensure consistent brand positioning and consumer experience across online and offline touchpoints.
5. Build Organization and Leadership Capability
• Lead, inspire, and develop a cross-functional organization of approximately 30 employees.
• Build a high-performing leadership team with clear priorities, ownership, decision rights, and accountability.
• Develop talent pipelines and succession readiness for critical roles.
• Strengthen organizational capabilities in omnichannel execution, digital commerce, revenue growth management, consumer analytics, and commercial excellence.
• Foster an agile, collaborative, inclusive, and performance-driven culture.
