We are searching for the best talent for a Head, Global Robotics Strategy and Innovation to be based in Santa Clara, CA for a duration-based role.
An internal pre-identified candidate for consideration has been identified. However, all applications will be considered
- With VP, Robotics & Strategic Capabilities, support Robotics strategy development across clinical specialties, informed by global strategic insights and unmet market needs, ultimately delivered through organic & inorganic development opportunities
- Partner closely with innovation teams from concept to technical and commercial feasibility; develop a clear overarching innovation strategy that integrates customer, market, competitive, and system level insights
- Serve as a strategic thought partner to the VP, Robotics I&A and New Growth, applying organizational development expertise to develop and articulate a compelling, cohesive growth story across Surgery
- Champion mid to long term vision and innovation strategy, exploration of strategic partnerships and M&A opportunities
- Identify new 3rd party partnerships that can help accelerate our robotics strategy and time to market
- Partner closely with business development teams to execute projects
- Manage strategic alliances which could augment the Robotic portfolio, identifying revenue streams and product differentiation opportunities
- Develop the positioning, pricing and marketing strategy for new Robotic products, and working closely with global and regional teams to deliver new product launch forecasts
- Develop global insights to drive new product concepts and marketing strategies
- Drive value-based healthcare initiatives through key claims and a robust evidence strategy
- Proactively align decision making with enterprise-wide strategy and evaluate short- and long-term goals to prioritize highest impact actions
- Provide Robotic thought leadership across the enterprise
Requirements
~2 min read- A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree with at least 10 years of business experience or MBA/other advanced degree with at least 5 years relevant healthcare business experience is required
- 7-10 years of experience working across innovation, business development, marketing, and strategy, with direct experience in surgical robotics
- Experience in developing business cases for opportunities is required
- Strong business, negotiation, organizational, project management, analytical, decision-making, and influence management skills are required
- Ability to effectively communicate and influence a broad variety of business leaders, both internally and externally and of varying levels from functional personnel to senior leaders of companies is required
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage several projects simultaneously are required
- Experience working in multiple international markets and partnering with cross-functional and global teams required
- Experience in a customer/external facing role is strongly preferred
- Strong analytical and operational skills are preferred
- Strong ability to operate effectively in ambiguity and drive clarity from complexity
- Track record of translating insights into actionable concepts and recommendations
- Strong analytical, synthesis, and storytelling skills
- An approachable individual who prides him or herself on providing a high level of service and support
- This role may require up to 30% travel.

Additional Description for Pay Transparency:
Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees are eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s long-term incentive program.
Subject to the terms of their respective policies and date of hire, employees are eligible for the following time off benefits:
Vacation –120 hours per calendar year
Sick time - 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Colorado –48 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington –56 hours per calendar year
Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays –13 days per calendar year
Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year
Parental Leave – 480 hours within one year of the birth/adoption/foster care of a child
Bereavement Leave – 240 hours for an immediate family member: 40 hours for an extended family member per calendar year
Caregiver Leave – 80 hours in a 52-week rolling period10 days
Volunteer Leave – 32 hours per calendar year
