Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on ultra-low temperature freezers (-80°C), cold rooms, and HVAC systems
- →Execute maintenance activities in compliance with GMP regulations and standard operating procedures (SOP)
- →Respond to emergency calls and equipment alarms to minimize downtime of critical equipment
- →Document all maintenance activities according to GMP requirements
- →Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control system issues across specialized equipment
- →Participate in validation activities for new and modified equipment
- →Support engineering projects related to facility infrastructure improvements
- →Maintain accurate records of parts inventory and coordinate procurement of supplies
- →Collaborate with facilities team, quality assurance, and other departments to ensure equipment reliability
- →Must be able to work with minimal to no supervision
- →Work overtime or temporarily modify shift schedule as needed
- →Be part of on-call after hours
Requirements
~1 min read- Technical degree/certification in HVAC, Refrigeration, or related field
- Minimum 3-5 years' experience maintaining scientific or laboratory equipment, preferably in a GMP environment
- Demonstrated knowledge of refrigeration systems, particularly ultra-low temperature applications
- Experience with building management systems (BMS) and environmental monitoring systems (EMS)
- Proficiency in reading electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
- Understanding of GMP requirements and their application to equipment maintenance
- Valid EPA certification for refrigerant handling preferred
- Strong documentation skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work in various environmental conditions and lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to regularly climb extension ladders, roof ladders, stepladders, and stairs as required during shift.
- Ability to stretch/reach on a repetitive basis during shift.
- Ability to walk extensively throughout the facility during shift.

- Have the flexibility to bend/stoop, squat repetitive during shift
- Have the ability to stretch/reach on a repetitive basis during shift
- Have the ability to walk extensively throughout the facility during shift
- Work is performed in a regulated GMP facility
- May require working in temperature-controlled environments
- Some emergency/on-call duties may be required
- Safety protocols must be strictly followed when handling refrigerants and working with electrical systems
- Have the flexibility to bend/stoop, squat repetitive during shift.
