App Packaging Specialist

We are seeking an experienced App Packaging Specialist to support a large-scale federal enterprise device and application management modernization initiative. In this role, you will lead end-to-end application packaging, testing, validation, and deployment across Windows, iOS, and Android environments. You will play a key role in transitioning from BlackBerry UEM to Microsoft Intune, ensuring applications are secure, compatible, and deployment-ready. Working at the intersection of endpoint management, application security, and mobility, you will collaborate with application owners and technical teams to deliver reliable solutions at scale. This is an opportunity to contribute to a major modernization program within a security-focused federal IT environment.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or another technical discipline, or equivalent relevant professional experience. A Master's degree is preferred.

• At least 6 years of relevant experience in application packaging, endpoint management, software deployment, or enterprise mobility solutions.

• Strong expertise in MSIX packaging, including modification packages, application signing, and conversion.

• Advanced experience with Win32 and IntuneWin packaging, detection and enforcement rules, dependency modeling, and remediation scripting.

• Hands-on experience deploying iOS applications through IPA and VPP/Apple Business Manager integrations, as well as Android applications through APK/AAB and Managed Google Play.

• Solid understanding of Microsoft Intune, MAM policies, app protection workflows, application assignments, and enterprise deployment strategies.

• Experience conducting application inventories, dependency assessments, compatibility testing, troubleshooting, and migration planning.

• Ability to analyze deployment logs, including Intune Management Extension logs, Windows Event Viewer, and mobile device logs.

• Knowledge of application security, certificate-based signing, enterprise PKI, and data protection principles.

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams and application owners.

• Must be a U.S. citizen, with no dual citizenship, due to federal agency requirements.

• Must be able to successfully pass a federal background investigation to obtain access to sensitive information.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience supporting large-scale Mobile Device Management (MDM) and Mobile Application Management (MAM) programs.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Attack Surface Reduction (ASR) rules, and application hardening practices.

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated application signing, and Intune configuration as code.

• Knowledge of certificate-based signing, timestamping authorities, and enterprise Public Key Infrastructure (PKI).

• Experience with Log Analytics and Kusto Query Language (KQL) for application performance monitoring and reporting.

• Understanding of Zero Trust principles, data leakage prevention, and security policy enforcement.

• Previous experience with BlackBerry UEM application lifecycle management and migration mapping.
