In this role, you will oversee key accounting activities, ensure the accuracy of financial reporting, and contribute to efficient month-end and year-end closing processes. You will collaborate closely with the Finance team, support audit preparation, and help maintain strong internal controls. The position also offers opportunities to improve accounting workflows, optimize financial systems, and streamline expense management. • Oversee month-end closing: Coordinate closing activities, complete and review account reconciliations, and prepare monthly financial statements with supporting notes for Finance team review.
  • Administer expense management systems: Manage the expense platform, issue virtual cards when needed, approve employee expense reports, maintain consistency with accounting system updates, and transfer expense data into the general ledger.
  • Supervise accounting personnel: Oversee the Staff Accountant, provide training and guidance, and review journal entries, reconciliations, and accounts payable submissions.
  • Support audits and year-end reporting: Prepare documentation for annual audits, respond to auditor inquiries, and compile year-end financial statements for external review.
  • Improve accounting systems and processes: Support software transitions, maintain accurate financial data, and identify opportunities to increase efficiency through automation and process improvements.
  • Assist with tax compliance: Gather documentation for external tax advisors and coordinate the preparation and annual filing of required 1099 forms.
  • Provide financial reporting support: Prepare ad hoc reports and analyses for Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) and other internal stakeholders as required.
