We are looking for an experienced QA Test Lead to drive software quality and ensure reliable, high-performing solutions across new projects, system enhancements, and ongoing maintenance. In this role, you will collaborate closely with development teams and business stakeholders from the earliest planning stages through final delivery. You will define testing strategies, assess risks, establish test coverage, and oversee manual and automated testing activities. As a technical reference for the QA team, you will guide testing professionals, promote best practices, and encourage continuous improvement across quality assurance processes. You will also play a proactive role in identifying defects and removing delivery risks within an agile environment. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on software reliability while exploring innovative testing approaches, including AI-powered solutions.
Lead QA planning and strategy: Develop and guide comprehensive test plans and strategies for new projects, system enhancements, and maintenance activities, considering acceptance criteria, business priorities, risks, and available resources.
Analyze business and technical requirements: Review functional specifications and requirements to identify testing needs, clarify expected behaviors, and ensure alignment between business objectives and technical solutions.
Define test scenarios and cases: Create, review, and maintain test scenarios, cases, and execution steps covering positive, negative, and exceptional conditions to ensure adequate functional coverage.
Manage testing execution: Perform and oversee manual and, where applicable, automated tests, prioritizing coverage according to functionality criticality, potential impact, and identified risks.
Monitor and resolve defects: Document, register, track, and follow up on defects with development teams until resolution, ensuring clear communication and end-to-end traceability.
Prepare and manage test data: Identify, create, and organize test data in advance to support effective test execution and reliable validation of system behavior.
Oversee testing environments and tools: Ensure the appropriate use of testing environments, tools, and established procedures throughout the quality assurance lifecycle.
Maintain testing documentation and reporting: Prepare test execution reports, organize supporting evidence, maintain documentation, and communicate progress, issues, and quality indicators to relevant stakeholders.
Participate in agile ceremonies: Collaborate actively in planning sessions and other agile meetings, helping teams identify testing requirements, risks, dependencies, and potential impediments early in the development cycle.
Promote preventive quality practices: Identify potential defects and quality risks before they affect production, integrating testing considerations throughout the software development lifecycle.
Provide technical leadership: Guide QA analysts, review testing strategies and scenarios, support the resolution of technical questions, and help coordinate testing activities across the team.
Manage risks and impediments: Monitor quality-related concerns, identify obstacles that could affect delivery, and communicate critical issues and recommendations to the appropriate stakeholders.
Drive continuous improvement: Contribute to the standardization and optimization of QA processes, methodologies, documentation, and tools, incorporating new approaches and technologies where appropriate.
Explore AI-enabled testing: Where relevant, evaluate opportunities to use artificial intelligence to generate, optimize, or maintain test cases and improve testing efficiency.
