As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will lead complex electrical engineering projects from technical design through delivery while supporting project, staffing, and client objectives. You will provide technical direction across building electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, medium-voltage systems, microgrids, photovoltaic and battery systems, and low-voltage infrastructure. The role combines hands-on engineering with project leadership, quality oversight, mentoring, and client-facing responsibilities. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop safe, sustainable, compliant, and high-quality designs. You will also contribute to proposals, presentations, technical thought leadership, and the development of engineering talent. This opportunity supports remote, hybrid, or in-person work while offering access to projects across diverse sectors and continued professional development.

Lead electrical engineering technical work for complex building and infrastructure projects, ensuring designs meet applicable standards, safety requirements, sustainability objectives, and client expectations.
Manage project progress across scope, schedule, fees, staffing, resources, and deliverables, adjusting plans as project requirements evolve.
Develop, review, and guide the preparation of electrical models, plans, details, drawings, calculations, and construction documents using established engineering and modeling standards.
Provide technical expertise across medium-voltage distribution, microgrids, photovoltaic systems, battery systems, building power systems, lighting design, and low-voltage systems.
Perform and oversee electrical calculations and analyses, including SKM studies, arc-flash analysis, and photometric calculations using tools such as AGI or ElumTools.
Conduct technical reviews and quality assurance/quality control activities to ensure accurate, coordinated, and high-quality project deliverables.
Coordinate electrical design documents with other disciplines and identify technical issues or conflicts before they affect project delivery.
Lead engineering project phases from initiation through completion while maintaining quality, budget, schedule, and performance expectations.
Manage project and staffing plans and ensure appropriate technical resources are assigned to meet project requirements.
Mentor engineers and other team members, provide technical guidance, and support career and skill development.
Communicate complex technical information clearly to clients, internal teams, regulatory agencies, and other non-technical stakeholders.
Serve as a technical expert and discipline representative at project meetings, professional events, conferences, and networking activities.
Deliver technical presentations and training sessions when required and contribute to professional thought leadership through technical content and industry engagement.
Support proposals, business development activities, and strategic objectives while representing electrical engineering capabilities to clients and professional organizations.
Travel to project sites, offices, or other locations as needed.

Requirements

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent relevant education and experience.
15 years of related professional experience, including at least 10 years leading engineering projects.
Active Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
Extensive experience with building power systems, lighting design, medium-voltage distribution, SKM analysis, and photometric calculations; experience with AGI or ElumTools is preferred.
Experience designing electrical systems for commercial, mixed-use, aviation, hospitality, high-rise, or similar complex buildings is preferred.
Experience designing sustainable building systems, with familiarity with LEED, Green Building Institute standards, or other sustainability credentials preferred.
Strong proficiency with electrical engineering software, calculation tools, and Autodesk Revit 3D modeling.
Demonstrated experience directing the preparation of construction documents and coordinating multidisciplinary design packages.
Strong experience leading QA/QC processes and coordinating design documents across engineering disciplines.
Excellent presentation, interpersonal, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex scientific, technical, and industry documents.
Ability to respond effectively to sensitive or complex inquiries from clients, regulatory agencies, and business stakeholders.
Ability to produce technical opinions, articles, presentations, and thought leadership content using original or innovative approaches.
Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate, mentor, and develop engineering professionals.
Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to technical quality, project requirements, and deadlines.
Willingness to travel to project sites and offices as required.
