As a Senior Flutter Developer, you will lead the architecture and development of high-performance mobile applications for a major U.S. client in the e-commerce and retail industry. You will play a key role in building scalable, secure, and seamless shopping experiences across iOS and Android platforms. Working with modern technologies such as Flutter, GraphQL federation, Apollo Client, and headless CMS solutions, you will drive technical excellence throughout the mobile development lifecycle. You will collaborate closely with backend engineers and cross-functional teams to optimize integrations, enhance application performance, and deliver reliable checkout experiences. In addition to hands-on development, you will contribute to architectural decisions, mentor fellow developers, and establish engineering best practices. This fully remote opportunity offers significant autonomy, international collaboration, and the chance to contribute to high-impact digital commerce platforms while working with U.S.-based engineering leadership.

Lead the end-to-end development, technical design, and architecture of high-performance Flutter mobile applications for e-commerce and retail platforms.

Contribute to architectural planning and technical decision-making while establishing coding standards, conducting structured code reviews, and mentoring junior and mid-level developers.

Integrate mobile applications with headless CMS platforms, e-commerce backends, and other services through RESTful APIs and GraphQL.

Implement and maintain GraphQL federation patterns, including Apollo Client, to optimize data fetching, schema integration, and application state management.

Build responsive, scalable, and high-performing user interfaces that deliver consistent experiences across a wide range of iOS and Android devices.

Collaborate with backend engineers to improve API interactions, streamline data flows, and maintain state consistency across the application.

Implement secure authentication, end-to-end data encryption, and reliable payment processing workflows in accordance with mobile security best practices and applicable payment security standards.

Establish and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automated testing frameworks, and continuous delivery practices to improve development efficiency and software quality.

Monitor application performance, analyze relevant metrics, identify bottlenecks, and implement ongoing optimizations to enhance stability and responsiveness.

Work closely with U.S.-based stakeholders and engineering leadership to align technical solutions with business objectives and deliver impactful product improvements.

Requirements

Proven professional experience in software development, with demonstrated expertise as a Senior Mobile Developer specializing in Flutter.

Strong hands-on experience with Apollo GraphQL, federated schemas, and modern API integration patterns, including REST and GraphQL.

Deep knowledge of Flutter state management solutions, such as BLoC, Riverpod, or Provider.

Demonstrated experience integrating mobile applications with e-commerce backends, headless CMS platforms, and payment gateways.

Strong understanding of mobile application security, including secure authentication, data encryption, payment integrations, and PCI-related compliance requirements.

Solid experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and implementing automated testing strategies for mobile applications.

Advanced or fluent English proficiency, both written and spoken, with excellent communication skills for direct collaboration with U.S.-based stakeholders.

Availability to work in alignment with the Central Standard Time (CST) time zone while based in Latin America.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to technical challenges.

Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work independently, contribute to architectural discussions, and support the development of other engineers.

Nice to Have

Previous experience developing or maintaining large-scale retail or e-commerce platforms.

Familiarity with native iOS development using Swift or Android development using Kotlin, particularly for implementing custom native plugins.

Experience with application performance monitoring and crash analytics tools, such as Firebase or Sentry.

A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
