As a Senior Manager, Property Technology & IT, you will lead the technology infrastructure that powers a growing portfolio of vacation homes, hotels, and multi-unit properties. You will oversee property networks, Wi-Fi, smart locks, connected devices, and corporate IT systems, ensuring reliability, security, and scalability across multiple locations. Combining hands-on technical expertise with strategic leadership, you will troubleshoot complex issues, coordinate external vendors, and establish consistent technology standards. You will also drive automation and AI adoption to streamline IT operations, strengthen security, and reduce repetitive administrative work. In this remote role, you will manage and mentor a small IT support team while collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders and property operators. This is an opportunity to shape a scalable technology environment in a fast-growing hospitality business where technical ownership, operational excellence, and continuous improvement are essential.
Property Networks and Infrastructure: Establish and maintain network and Wi-Fi standards across vacation homes, hotels, and multi-unit properties. Design, review, and troubleshoot LAN/WAN and wireless infrastructure, including switches, routers, access points, firewalls, VLANs, DHCP/DNS, and Power over Ethernet (PoE).
Connected Devices and Property Technology: Oversee the reliability of smart locks, electronic access control systems, gateways, thermostats, sensors, and other IoT devices. Diagnose issues across devices, local networks, internet connections, vendor cloud platforms, APIs, and internal systems.
Vendor and Service Provider Management: Coordinate with internet service providers, managed-network vendors, low-voltage contractors, installers, and local technicians to resolve outages, improve performance, and prevent recurring technical issues.
New Property Deployments: Serve as the technical lead for new hotel and multi-unit property launches. Review floor plans, network diagrams, ISP proposals, low-voltage designs, and access-control architectures to identify gaps and ensure installations meet established technical standards.
Technical Standards and Documentation: Develop repeatable deployment processes, technical specifications, checklists, troubleshooting procedures, and documentation that support consistent implementations across different property types.
Monitoring and Reliability: Implement monitoring and diagnostic tools to improve visibility into network performance and connected-device health. Identify recurring failures, strengthen infrastructure architecture, and proactively improve system reliability.
Corporate IT Administration: Oversee core IT systems, including Google Workspace, Okta, single sign-on (SSO), multi-factor authentication (MFA), identity and access management, endpoint administration, SaaS applications, permissions, user groups, and software licenses.
Security and Access Management: Strengthen identity security, investigate phishing attempts, suspicious logins, potentially compromised accounts, and abnormal authentication activity. Establish reliable access controls and escalation procedures to reduce security risks.
Onboarding and Offboarding: Design and improve secure, scalable employee onboarding and offboarding workflows, including role-based provisioning, access reviews, self-service processes, and exception monitoring.
Automation and AI Integration: Use APIs, scripting, workflow automation platforms, and modern AI tools to accelerate troubleshooting, support triage, documentation, provisioning, and routine administration while maintaining appropriate security and approval controls.
Legal and HR IT Support: Support authorized Legal and HR requests involving account preservation, data retention, legal holds, searches, exports, and related information retrieval.
Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and develop one to two junior IT team members responsible for routine support and administration. Establish clear responsibilities, service expectations, escalation paths, and operational playbooks while remaining the primary technical escalation point for complex issues.
Operational Scalability: Determine which activities should be automated, delegated, outsourced, or escalated. Build efficient operating processes that allow technology operations to scale without requiring IT headcount to increase proportionally.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Product, Engineering, property operators, and other internal teams to ensure technology solutions meet operational needs and integrate effectively with internal systems and business workflows.
