Senior/Staff Software Engineer

This role is focused on designing, building, and scaling the core software systems behind complex claims identification, case management, and recovery workflows. You will tackle challenging engineering problems in a data-intensive and highly regulated healthcare environment. The position combines backend development, distributed systems, workflow automation, cloud infrastructure, and AI/ML integrations. You will build resilient production services that process large volumes of transactional and healthcare data while supporting critical operational workflows. Working closely with product, engineering, data science, and business teams, you will turn complex requirements into practical and scalable solutions. • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, ideally focused on backend or full-stack development.
• Strong proficiency in Python and experience with modern web frameworks such as FastAPI, Django, or Flask.
• Experience designing, building, and maintaining production systems in cloud environments, preferably AWS.
• Familiarity with distributed systems, workflow orchestration, and event-driven architectures.
• Experience working with production-grade databases, APIs, cloud services, and reliable deployment processes.
• Ability to design secure, maintainable, scalable, and fault-tolerant systems in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a preference for practical, simple, and elegant technical solutions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate directly with product, business, engineering, and data science teams.
• Comfortable taking ownership of complex technical problems and driving solutions from design through implementation and production.
• Experience with technologies such as Temporal, AWS ECS, PostgreSQL, Redis, TypeScript, or Next.js is highly valuable.
