This fully remote leadership role is responsible for building strategic partnerships that expand member acquisition across public service professional communities.
You will develop relationships with organizations serving military, veteran, law enforcement, fire and rescue, and healthcare audiences.
The role combines business development, relationship management, strategic planning, and measurable growth ownership.
You will identify new opportunities, turn initial conversations into lasting partnerships, and develop scalable programs that create value for all parties.
Success will require creativity, persistence, strong commercial judgment, and an ability to build trust with stakeholders at every level.
You will work closely with Marketing, Product, and other internal teams to translate partnership opportunities into meaningful audience growth.
This is a high-ownership role with clear acquisition KPIs and opportunities to shape an expanding partnership strategy.

  • Identify, prospect, and establish strategic partnerships with military organizations, veteran service groups, associations, unions, nonprofits, businesses, and organizations serving public service professionals.

  • Build authentic relationships with decision-makers and develop trust across organizations ranging from small businesses to large national associations.

  • Develop creative prospecting strategies, using networking, referrals, events, introductions, and other channels to uncover partnership opportunities.

  • Launch new partnerships by establishing mutually beneficial value propositions, aligning partner objectives with business goals, and creating programs designed for scalable member acquisition.

  • Develop and execute partnership strategies informed by business objectives, audience engagement metrics, and data-driven insights.

  • Own quarterly member acquisition KPIs for the public service professional audience, with a primary focus on military organizations and additional focus on law enforcement, fire and rescue, and healthcare.

  • Identify opportunities to expand member acquisition and engagement with existing partners beyond initial launches.

  • Negotiate partnership arrangements and align stakeholder expectations to establish sustainable, commercially valuable relationships.

  • Collaborate with Marketing, Product, and other cross-functional teams to ensure partnership initiatives support broader organizational priorities.

  • Monitor partnership performance and use data to refine outreach, engagement, and growth strategies.

  • Represent the organization at relevant meetings, networking opportunities, conferences, and industry events.

  • Travel as needed to develop new relationships, meet prospective partners, and strengthen existing partnerships.

Requirements

  • 5–7+ years of experience in partnerships, business development, fundraising, development, or a related field with a demonstrated ability to deliver measurable KPIs.

  • Experience working with military audiences, such as veterans, former service members, military associations, veteran service organizations, or military spouse and family networks, is strongly preferred.

  • Proven success developing strategic partnerships, negotiating agreements, and aligning partner motivations with organizational objectives.

  • Strong commercial and business acumen, with an analytical and revenue-oriented approach to partnership development.

  • Demonstrated ability to build rapport and credibility with a broad range of stakeholders, from small business owners to senior executives at national organizations.

  • Persistent and proactive approach to business development, with the ability to advance conversations while maintaining strong, trust-based relationships.

  • Creative problem-solving skills and comfort operating in ambiguous environments where new approaches may need to be tested and refined.

  • Strong ability to translate data and market insights into actionable partnership strategies.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-management skills.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams while independently owning strategic initiatives and growth targets.

  • Willingness and availability to travel occasionally for partner meetings, networking opportunities, and industry events.

  • Comfortable working effectively in a fully remote environment.

What We Offer

✓Fully remote work from anywhere in the Continental United States.
✓Total on-target earnings of approximately $140,000–$155,000, including: Base salary of $100,000–$115,000 annually.
✓Bonus potential of up to $40,000.
