As a Sr. Principal Contract Negotiation Analyst, you will lead complex commercial negotiations and manage contractual risk across a diverse portfolio of strategic supplier relationships. You will oversee the review, drafting, and negotiation of high-value agreements, including contracts for professional services, IT hardware and software, equipment, and facilities. Working closely with Legal Counsel, Supply Chain, business leaders, and external suppliers, you will develop negotiation strategies that protect business interests while enabling strategic objectives. You will also help address emerging contractual challenges involving artificial intelligence, data usage, intellectual property, privacy, and information security. This senior individual contributor role offers the opportunity to influence enterprise-wide contracting practices, mentor colleagues, and improve procurement processes in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. The position is remote within the United States, with approximately 10% travel.

  • Complex Contract Negotiation: Lead the review, drafting, and negotiation of complex commercial agreements, including non-standard, high-risk, multi-year, and strategic supplier contracts. Ensure contractual terms align with business objectives, internal requirements, and acceptable risk thresholds.
  • Negotiation Strategy Development: Develop and execute tailored negotiation strategies for high-value transactions and enterprise-wide initiatives. Balance commercial priorities, supplier relationships, operational requirements, and contractual protections to achieve favorable outcomes.
  • Contractual Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Identify, evaluate, and mitigate legal, commercial, operational, and financial risks throughout the contracting and procurement lifecycle. Recommend practical solutions that protect business interests while supporting effective supplier engagements.
  • Stakeholder Advisory and Guidance: Advise Supply Chain and business stakeholders on contractual rights, obligations, negotiation options, and risk trade-offs. Collaborate with Legal Counsel when specialized legal interpretation, escalation, or additional approval is required.
  • Strategic Supplier Relationship Support: Manage contractual negotiations involving key suppliers across professional services, IT hardware and software, equipment, facilities, and other strategic procurement categories. Support supplier relationships while maintaining appropriate contractual safeguards.
  • Emerging Contractual Risk Management: Partner with Legal Counsel to address evolving and recurring contractual issues, including artificial intelligence provisions, data usage, intellectual property, privacy, and information security requirements.
  • Contracting Standards and Process Improvement: Contribute to the development and refinement of contract templates, negotiation playbooks, guidance materials, and standardized processes. Identify opportunities to improve consistency, efficiency, and risk management across the contracting function.
  • Complex Issue Resolution: Serve as a senior resource and escalation point for challenging contractual matters. Exercise independent judgment, assess alternative approaches, and escalate issues requiring additional review or approval.
  • Mentorship and Knowledge Sharing: Guide less experienced colleagues on negotiation techniques, contractual risk assessment, stakeholder management, and effective contracting practices.
  • Workload and Project Management: Independently manage a varied portfolio of negotiations and contractual assignments, balancing competing priorities, stakeholder expectations, and deadlines while maintaining high-quality work.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Build strong working relationships with Legal, Supply Chain, business teams, senior leaders, and supplier representatives to align commercial agreements with enterprise objectives and facilitate informed decision-making.
