About the Role
~1 min readNo two days are ever the same. You’ll support elderly clients in their homes with a range of tasks that promote comfort, wellbeing, and independence, including:
- Personal care such as showering, dressing and personal hygiene
- Meal preparation and domestic cleaning
- Social support and companionship
- Shopping assistance and transport
- Additional care needs such as fitting and removing pressure stockings, respite support, and assistance with medication (where required)
We offer permanent part-time and casual opportunities across both the north and south of the river in the Perth metropolitan area.
Flexible rosters are available, including:
- Day shifts: 7am–12pm, 7am-3pm,8am–4pm, 8am–5pm
- Afternoon shifts: 11am–6pm, 12pm–7pm, 1pm–8pm
You’re someone who genuinely enjoys helping others and understands the importance of empathy, respect, and independence in aged care. You are comfortable working independently, confident driving clients, and committed to providing thoughtful, person-centred support.
You may already have experience in aged care or community services or you might bring valuable lived experience through caring responsibilities. Either way, your caring nature is what matters most.
To ensure the safety and wellbeing of our clients, you will need:
- A current National Police Clearance (issued within the last 6 months)
- Evidence of an up-to-date flu vaccination
- A current driver’s licence
- Access to a reliable, WA-registered vehicle with full comprehensive insurance
- Ability to pass pre-employment physical and reference checks
- Availability to attend a 2 week induction program (5 days at Rivervale site)
