Senior Software Engineer, Automotive Partnerships

As a Senior Software Engineer on the Automotive Partnerships team, you’ll build the technology that connects our products with leading automakers, mobility platforms, and automotive technology partners. You’ll help design and deliver reliable, scalable integrations across vehicle, cloud, and partner systems, turning complex technical and business requirements into seamless customer experiences.

You’ll collaborate closely with product, design, engineering, and external partner teams to define technical strategy, navigate evolving industry standards, and bring new integrations from concept to launch. Beyond writing high-quality code, you’ll shape architecture, establish engineering best practices, mentor other engineers, and help partners make sound technical decisions.

This role is ideal for an experienced engineer who enjoys solving ambiguous, cross-functional problems and building durable platforms at the intersection of software, connected vehicles, and strategic partnerships.

• Design, build, and maintain core services, APIs, and workflows
• Own features end-to-end, from technical design through production support
• Collaborate with product, design, engineering, and external partner teams to translate business needs into well-architected technical solutions
• Contribute to system design discussions and help evolve service architecture
• Write high-quality, well-tested code and participate in thoughtful code reviews
• Help identify and reduce technical debt while balancing delivery and maintainability
• Mentor and support other engineers through pairing, code reviews, and knowledge sharing
• Participate in on-call rotations and contribute to operational excellence

• →4+ years of professional software engineering experience working on production systems
• →Strong experience building backend services and APIs in Ruby on Rails
• →Experience working with distributed systems and cloud infrastructure
• →Comfort owning features and services with minimal oversight
• →Solid understanding of data modeling, performance, and system reliability
• →Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across disciplines
• →A pragmatic, product-minded approach to engineering
