We are looking for a Field Inspector.
Education and Experience:
- Construction or Engineering background is preferred
- Minimum of 2 years preferred
Basic Skills include:
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Willingness to work in outdoor weather conditions
- Willingness to work outside of normal business hours when required by the project.
Additional Requirements:
- Must possess a valid Driver's License
Responsibilities:
- Observe and inspect the Contractor’s daily work
- Keep a daily record of instructions and directions to Contractor regarding plan and specification interpretation and any required change orders
- Keep daily record of communications with Engineer, Owner, and members of the public
- Coordinate with independent testing labs for any materials testing required by project specifications
- Verify quantities for payment on Contractor’s monthly pay request
- Coordinate construction activities/schedules with residents, utility companies, and other agencies
- Inspect materials before installation
- Observe installation methods for equipment and materials
- Answer technical questions and provide information to Client or Engineer
- Participate in final inspections and acceptance of work
- Attend and participate in preconstruction meetings
- Attend and participate in progress meetings
- Ensure that the Contractor is installing proposed improvements per plans and specifications
- Assist in preparation of final record drawings
