Voted Philly’s favorite Credit Union three years in a row by the readers of the Philadelphia Inquirer, Ardent Credit Union is a member-owned financial cooperative with assets approaching $900 million. Originally founded in 1977 by the employees of the SmithKline Corporation, Ardent is headquartered in Philadelphia, and serves the Philadelphia region and beyond.

Ardent Credit Union has an exceptional opportunity for an experienced EVP/Chief Lending Officer (EVP), given the upcoming retirement of its current leader.  If you have a passion for managing and building innovative lending solutions, this executive role is for you!

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the EVP will be a strategic partner, developing key lending initiatives, including structuring, creating, and executing a business lending division in partnership with executive leadership and the Board of Directors.  This role will oversee consumer, mortgage, home equity, business/commercial, and commercial real estate lending; loan servicing; collections; and business banking, and participate in enterprise-wide strategic planning, risk management, budgeting, and organizational development.

The EVP will bring a strategic mindset to expanding business banking relationships through commercial lending and treasury management partnerships, while fostering relationships with community organizations, commercial members, real estate professionals, dealers, and referral partners.  Promoting automation, leading digital lending initiatives, and enhancing loan origination systems to ensure technology solutions are operationally sound, thereby improving efficiency and the member experience, are essential requirements.

A bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field, plus a minimum of ten (10) years of progressively responsible executive lending leadership within a financial institution is required.  MBA or equivalent advanced degree is desired.  Significant experience managing consumer, mortgage, indirect, commercial, and business lending is needed, with demonstrated success leading lending operations in a financial institution with assets exceeding $1 billion.
