Sr. Buyer

Our client, a growing retail organization, is seeking a strategic and results-driven Senior Buyer to join its purchasing team. This role owns a dedicated category portfolio and plays a key part in supplier relationship management, international sourcing, and driving sales and margin performance. Key Responsibilities Manage an assigned category portfolio within the purchasing process. Travel to China/Asia to source and purchase directly from manufacturers and suppliers. Build and maintain relationships with manufacturers and suppliers as an official company representative. Analyze current product mix and store mix to identify opportunities to optimize sales and margins. Recommend and execute action plans based on that analysis. Learn and help improve the company's purchasing processes and systems. Support the standardization of best practices across purchasing operations. Requirements What We're Looking For Proven experience in purchasing, procurement, or strategic sourcing, ideally in retail or manufacturing. Willingness and ability to travel internationally, including to Asia (China/Far East). Strong negotiation skills and experience building supplier relationships internationally. Analytical mindset with the ability to evaluate product mix, store mix, and margins. Bilingual (Spanish/English); Mandarin is a plus. A continuous improvement mindset for processes and systems.
