Corporate Payroll Manager

 

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking a Corporate Payroll Manager. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Finance, this position is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing and reporting across multiple resort properties in accordance with company policies, procedures, and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.

 

As part of our leadership team, you’ll embody our Promise to Lead with Love—guiding, supporting, and inspiring associates while delivering extraordinary guest experiences. You’ll join a talented, results-driven team focused on building strong customer relationships. 

 

 

Key Responsibilities  

  • Manage and oversee payroll processing across multiple properties, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.
  • Maintain payroll records, associate data, deductions, and related payroll transactions.
  • Prepare and distribute payroll, labor, tax, and financial reports.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and reporting requirements.
  • Monitor payroll and timekeeping systems to maintain accurate records and operational efficiency.
  • Partner with Finance, Human Resources, Operations, and resort leadership to support payroll-related needs and organizational objectives.
  • Respond to payroll inquiries, government requests, and compliance matters as needed.
  • Identify process improvements and implement best practices to enhance payroll operations and productivity.
  • Participate in meetings, training programs, special projects, and other duties as assigned.

 

 

What We’re Looking For  

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's Degree in Accounting and/or hotel experience preferred.
  • Three to five years of payroll and/or administrative experience preferred.
  • Experience managing payroll for multiple properties or locations is required.
  • Hospitality, resort, hotel, or restaurant experience is strongly preferred; Human Resources experience is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll processing, payroll taxes, and related regulations.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality, exercise sound judgment, and work effectively with associates at all levels of the organization.
  • Team-oriented with a hands-on approach to work.
