CNA Hospice House

• →"Consistently meets work schedule.

• →Provides direct personal care for hospice patients as guided by care plan from Registered Nurse.
• →Reports unexpected clinical findings to RN immediately.  Answers patient call system promptly.
• →Responds to critical situations in an appropriate manner.
• →Maintains a safe environment for patients, including infection control.
• →Effectively manages the hospice patient's pain and comfort within the scope of practice. Reports and documents measures as needed.
• →Regularly attends and participates in Hospice House IDT meetings.
• →Completes all documentation consistent with regulatory guidelines and department policies.
• →Provides direct patient care included but not limited to, personal/comfort care, taking recording of patient vital signs and blood glucometer reading."
• →Must be able to perform the professional, clinical and or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department.

• Completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant Program
• High School Graduate
• 1 or more years of experience

• 2 or more years of Hospice experience

• Certified Nurse Aide / Assistant (CNA) - State Department for Aging and Disability Services (KS), Department of Health & Senior Services (MO) - Includes licenses for all other states upon Hire
• CPR/ AED/ BLS - Other BLS within 14 days
