Kaseya is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to provide technical leadership for enterprise software platforms and major engineering initiatives. This role will lead the design and delivery of complex technical solutions, guide architecture across teams, and help ensure products and services are secure, scalable, reliable, and aligned with broader business strategy. The ideal candidate is a senior technical expert who can lead complex projects, mentor engineers, and influence engineering quality across multiple teams.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Lead architecture and technical design for major features, services, and platform capabilities across enterprise software products.
- →Drive the implementation of secure, scalable, and reliable software across cloud-hosted, data center-hosted, and hybrid environments.
- →Provide technical leadership for initiatives involving SaaS platforms, automation, large-scale system integration, and distributed software systems.
- →Partner with product management, engineering managers, QA, UX/UI, operations, and support teams to define technical requirements and delivery plans.
- →Guide engineering teams through design reviews, code reviews, technical planning, troubleshooting, and production readiness activities.
- →Help define and improve engineering standards for quality, security, performance, observability, CI/CD, and automated testing.
- →Mentor Staff, Senior, and mid-level engineers, helping them grow technically and deliver high-quality solutions.
- →Communicate project status, risks, design decisions, and trade-offs clearly to engineering leaders and cross-functional stakeholders.
Requirements
~2 min read- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- 10+ years of software engineering experience, including experience with SaaS platforms, distributed systems, enterprise applications, data-intensive systems, or similar complex software environments.
- Proven experience leading complex technical initiatives across multiple engineers or teams.
- Strong experience with architecture, system design, code reviews, design reviews, application security, scalability, and reliability.
- Hands-on experience with modern development practices, including agile methodologies, DevOps, CI/CD, automated testing, and production operations.
- Experience with enterprise software, SaaS platforms, IT management tools, automation platforms, cybersecurity software, or other complex business-critical applications.
- Experience with technologies such as Java, C#, .NET, MySQL, SQL, AWS, and enterprise-scale SaaS platforms.
- Familiarity with architecture patterns including cloud-native platforms, N-tier systems, MVC, client-server architectures, and distributed systems.
- Experience improving engineering processes, technical standards, automation, and platform reliability.
- Strong ability to mentor engineers and influence technical decisions without direct management authority.
- Experience collaborating with product, QA, UX/UI, operations, support, and business stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to operate effectively in ambiguous, high-impact technical areas.
