Preference will be given to candidates holding valid OPITO-approved T-BOSIET/BOSIET and H₂S certifications with a minimum validity of six months. The selected candidate might be required to travel ADNOC offshore on a rotational basis to conduct site surveys, support brownfield assessments, verify existing installations, and obtain project-specific engineering data necessary for design and execution.
- Lead, direct, and oversee all Technical Safety Engineer (Process Safety) engineering activities for onshore and offshore oil & gas developments across the full project lifecycle, including Concept Studies, FEED, and Detailed Engineering.
- Serve as the discipline technical authority, providing engineering leadership to ensure the delivery of safe, reliable, maintainable, and cost-effective TSE solutions that comply with client requirements, applicable standards, project schedules, and quality expectations. Act as the focal point for TSE while facilitating effective multidisciplinary coordination.
Responsibilities

- →Developing and checking of calculations, data sheets, technical notes, requisitions, specifications, drawings and similar deliverables produced within Discipline.
- →Act as a single focal point of contact for leading/coordinating, planning, supervising the Safety Engineering assigned in the project to ensure improvement in efficiency and quality of work performed.
- →Conduct, organize and lead/facilitate Workshop such as PHA, HAZID, HAZOP, SIL & LOPA, etc. and follow up with the recommendation/findings.
- →Perform the following engineering tasks applying the international standards (IEC/NFPA/API/ etc.) and including the required interfaces with other engineering disciplines:
- →Hazardous area Classification schedule and layout.
- →Fire protection design basis.
- →Fire water networks design.
- →Fire water pumps / fire water tanks calculation and sizing.
- →Fixed firewater spray systems calculation and design.
- →Fixed foam system calculation and design.
- →Fixed gaseous firefighting system calculation and design.
- →Fire and gas detection system design.
- →Sufficient knowledge of hazard and risk management, fire and explosion analysis (dispersion analysis), fire protection related studies, formal safety assessments, compartmentation and emergency evacuation routes.
- →Complete integration with other team members: engineers, designers, and technical personnel in the execution of the project
- →Work independently and create a positive work environment.
- →Experience with firewater demand calculations and equipment requirements, industrial drainage design and equipment.
- →Good working knowledge in PIPENET, DNV PHAST and other consequence modeling software.
- →Responsible for reviewing third party safety studies including QRA, FERA, F&G mapping study, … etc.
- →Supervise & perform the following technical procurement services:
- →Material take-off & Material requisitions for the fire protection packages.
- →Bid evaluations include technical clarifications and technical evaluation reports.
- →Vendors print review.
- →Provide technical leadership to ensure that applicable procedures and standards (client, KBR and international) are correctly applied.

Perform the following leading & supervisory duties as a Lead engineer:
- →Study and review contract conditions included in customers’ tenders.
- →Manage the fire protection part of internal and external design reviews, 3D models reviews, value engineering reviews and constructability reviews
- →Quality assurance, quality control and monitoring of the engineering deliverables, activities and outputs including consistency checks, review of technical quality, assure technical compliance with project specifications & requirements, technical support & direction, and managing internal & external quality audits.
- Minimum 17+ years of TSE experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, LNG, or Energy sectors.
- Minimum 8 to 10 years in a Lead Engineer, Senior Lead Engineer, or equivalent leadership capacity.
- Demonstrated experience delivering both offshore and onshore brownfield and greenfield projects.
- Extensive working knowledge of ADNOC Group projects, engineering practices, and technical standards.
- Proven experience across FEED, Detailed Engineering, EPC, PMC, Construction, and Commissioning environments.
- Strong exposure to offshore production facilities, wellhead platforms, central processing facilities, and related infrastructure.
Requirements
~1 min read- Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering or equivalent from an accredited university.
- Experience with ADNOC offshore / PMC / Client representation is preferred.
- Comprehensive understanding of international standards including API, IEC, ISA, NFPA, NACE, BS EN, and operator-specific standards such as ADNOC requirements.
- Thorough understanding of FEED and Detailed Engineering deliverables, document management systems, MOC processes, and project controls.
- Proficiency in industry-standard process safety engineering software and applications, including PHAST, Flare Sim and equivalent.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, troubleshooting, and technical decision-making capabilities.
- Excellent leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and organizational skills.
