Responsibilities

  • →Routes materials to prescribed storage or work locations.
  • →Manages all storage areas to include configuration management to maximize space utilization.
  • →Stores, stacks, or palletizes materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods.
  • →Prepares material for shipment to include wrapping, boxing, crate fabrication, strapping and palletizing of material to insure its safe shipment in accordance with commercial packing methods.
  • →Rearranges and takes inventory of stored materials.
  • →Examines stored materials and reports deterioration and damage.
  • →Operates forklifts and other material handling equipment.
  • →Lifts or moves electronic equipment weighing up to 51 pounds independently, as well as move, with the assistance of material handling equipment, equipment/boxes more than 51 pounds. On rare occasions, may be required to climb various structures with full complement of safety apparatus.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of two (2) years of directly related work experience in logistics and materials handling.
  • Must have or be able to obtain a Secret clearance.
  • Must possess and maintain a forklift operator’s certification.
