Description
Within the newly created portfolio company United Ports, you will be in charge of monitoring the terminals portfolio composed of 15 assets in compliance with Business Plan targets and manage specific projects at shareholder level (such as asset procurements / extensions etc.). You will also manage a pipeline of United Ports development projects (M&A or Greenfield) in close coordination with CMATH Business Development Team
Requirements
- Develop relationships with the portfolio, its management, co-shareholders, Port Authorities and local CMA agents.
- Anticipate (initiate when necessary) and prepare Shareholders and Board Meetings
- Analyze and report financial/operational KPIs monthly, in coordination with the United Ports CFO.
- Propose and trigger necessary actions and remedy plan in due time in case of financial or operational deviations compared to previous year or budget to propose opex and capex optimization (ex: internal audit, expertise missions, extraordinary BOD or SH resolutions) all in coordination with relevant CMATH Departments.
- Challenge and ensure issuance in due time of Budget and BP by the relevant terminal in coordination with the United Ports CFO.
- Implement review of terminals financial structure and propose optimization jointly with the United Ports CFO, in respect to tax, loan or dividend.
- Build or review and optimize cash forecasts for United Ports terminals portfolio
- Implement contractual review, concession agreements review for United Ports terminals and act jointly with CMA Legal Department. Ensure that obligations or rights of each stakeholder are fulfilled in line with the interest of United Ports.
- Implement commercial review and actions jointly with CMATH Chief Commercial Officer. Interact and keep close contact with CMA CGM services calling the terminal.
- Ensure project management and provide financial analysis when required, in respect to any relating United Ports terminals portfolio projects such as procurements / extensions.
- Ensure proper, traceable and regular archives management into United Ports server for all documentation relating to each United Ports terminals.
Lead or support project for business development from origination to signing and as the case may be in close coordination with CMATH business development team:
- Analyze project market, initial studies
- Project structuring,
- Define and budget required due diligences,
- Review assumptions and elaborate financial model, and valuation
- Due diligence and negotiations
- Pilot expert team efforts (technical, legal, financial, insurance, etc.), coordinate Port Authority/Partners requests, lead negotiations.
- and external relationships with sellers, partners, advisors, and the internal relationships with other departments within the Group.
- In addition to development projects, you may work on financial restructuring projects or disposals.
- Postgraduate degree (+5 years) in Business or Engineering with significant financial & modeling skills
- Special interest in the transport and infrastructure sector
- Significant experience in consulting, financial advisory, audit or ports development;
- Basic legal knowledge in reviewing shareholders, concession and contractual agreements, would be a plus
- Familiar with the project mode
- Autonomy and sense of initiative; Interpersonal and communication skills;
- Responsiveness and work ethics; Team spirit & Result-oriented;
- Fluency in English and in French language would be a plus; willing to travel.
- Willing to consider international mobility for future development
The position is based at the New York City headquarters of the US holding company and typically reports to the Chief Executive Officer. The role works closely with finance, operations, commercial, engineering, legal, M&A, and external advisors across jurisdictions.
