About the Role

As a Human Resources Business Partner, you will play a key role in connecting Kenect's people strategy with the needs of the business while also ensuring our day-to-day HR programs and processes run effectively.

This is a hands-on HR role for someone who is equally comfortable advising leaders through complex employee situations, coaching managers, and supporting organizational initiatives as they are managing the HR processes that create a great employee experience.

You'll partner closely with leaders, managers, employees, and the People Team across the employee lifecycle, from onboarding and development to performance management, employee relations, benefits, leaves, and offboarding. You'll also help identify opportunities to improve our processes, systems, and programs as Kenect continues to grow.

Responsibilities

  • →Partner with leaders and managers to understand business needs and provide practical HR guidance that supports Kenect's goals.
  • →Serve as a trusted advisor to managers and employees on employee relations, performance management, workplace concerns, policies, and other people-related matters.
  • →Coach managers through performance conversations, feedback, corrective action, employee development, and other employee situations.
  • →Support and administer performance management programs, including performance reviews, coaching, development plans, and performance improvement processes.
  • →Support organizational development initiatives, including career development, succession planning, employee engagement, retention, and training.
  • →Manage and support HR programs and processes throughout the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, employee changes, leaves of absence, benefits, and offboarding.
  • →Maintain accurate employee information and transactions within HR systems and partner with Payroll and other teams to ensure employee changes are processed accurately and timely.
  • →Support benefits administration and employee leave programs, serving as a resource for employees and managers throughout the process.
  • →Conduct new hire check-ins, employee satisfaction interviews, exit interviews, and other employee listening activities to identify trends, opportunities, and areas of risk.
  • →Develop, maintain, and update HR policies, procedures, documentation, resources, and employee files while ensuring compliance with applicable employment laws and regulations.
  • →Partner with hiring managers and the People Team on recruiting and talent acquisition efforts as needed, including hiring strategies, candidate selection, and talent pipelines.
  • →Use HR data and employee feedback to identify trends, provide recommendations, and help leaders make informed people decisions.
  • →Support organizational changes and help managers and employees navigate changes in teams, structure, processes, or business priorities.
  • →Identify opportunities to simplify, automate, and improve HR processes, systems, and employee experiences.
  • →Collaborate across the People Team and other departments to ensure HR programs and initiatives are executed consistently and effectively.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of progressive Human Resources experience, ideally across both HR Business Partner and HR Generalist responsibilities.
  • Strong experience supporting and coaching managers through employee relations and performance management situations.
  • Solid understanding of benefits administration, leaves of absence, employee lifecycle processes, and HR operations.
  • Strong working knowledge of employment laws, HR policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience with HRIS platforms; Paylocity experience is a plus.
  • Experience supporting recruiting and talent acquisition processes.
  • Ability to balance strategic priorities with hands-on execution and day-to-day HR responsibilities.
  • Strong judgment and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, coaching, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities may change and processes may still be evolving.
  • Resourceful, collaborative, and willing to jump in wherever needed to help the People Team and the business succeed.
