Senior Credit Risk Review Officer: Private Credit

- Assess complex commercial private credit transactions, including evaluation of underwriting structure, borrower performance, cash flow adequacy, covenant compliance, collateral coverage, and repayment capacity.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of First and Second Line credit risk management activities, including independent challenge of underwriting decisions, risk rating practices, portfolio monitoring processes, and risk governance frameworks.
- Review portfolio-level credit performance, concentration risk, industry exposure trends, and emerging credit risk themes to identify potential adverse impacts to portfolio quality.
- Assess alignment of lending activities with the Bank's approved Risk Appetite Statement, credit policies, and regulatory expectations.
- Evaluate ongoing portfolio surveillance methodologies, including watchlist management, criticized asset identification, stress testing, and early warning indicator monitoring.
- Demonstrate advanced knowledge of private credit and direct lending structures, including sponsor-backed financings, unitranche facilities, mezzanine debt, recurring revenue lending, and other complex lending arrangements.
- Partner effectively with business leaders, Credit Risk Management, Portfolio Risk teams, and regulators to provide independent insight regarding emerging credit risks and portfolio quality.
- Demonstrate expert credit skills including the ability to independently assign risk ratings based on Key’s internal policies and risk rating methodologies, as well as external regulatory guidance.
- Exhibit ability to work independently towards goals, seeking information and collaborating, as necessary.
- Consistently demonstrate expert business writing skills and the ability to cohesively present information effectively to others including the delivery of findings and other credit risk matters to senior and executive management.
- Prioritize and execute multiple assignments; identify obstacles within the scope of assignments; proactively communicate delays in assigned deliverables or additional capacity availability; effectively delegate work when necessary.
- Exhibit expert leadership skills by leading or providing oversight on complex reviews or ad-hoc projects including managing staff and delivering feedback on performance.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and implementation of strategies to drive team and/or division change; demonstrate ability to draw insight from risk intelligence and regulatory bulletins.
- Demonstrate the ability to perform in an organizational culture of respect and personal accountability regarding Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.

- Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
- Master's Degree (preferred)
- 7+ years of relevant credit experience (required)
- Prior credit risk review experience (preferred)
- Credit Risk Certification (CRC) (preferred)
- Moody's Analytics Certificate in Commercial Credit (preferred)

- General Office - Prolonged sitting, ability to communicate face to face in person or on the phone with teammates and clients, frequent use of PC/laptop, occasional lifting/pushing/pulling of backpacks, computer bags up to 10 lbs.
- Occasional travel to include overnight stay.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $116,000.00 - $216,000.00 annually. Placement within the pay range may differ based upon various factors, including but not limited to skills, experience and geographic location. Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for incentive compensation which may include production, commission, and/or discretionary incentives.Please click here for a list of benefits for which this position is eligible.
