Expert Engineer Conditioning Techniques

As an Expert Engineer in Conditioning Techniques, you will be responsible for the technical substantiation, quality assurance, and documentation related to the conditioning of radioactive waste. This position is a consultancy mission at a client site representing Keystone Solutions, where you will work closely with specialized colleagues on activities that have a direct impact on the environment and society.

• →Prepare, manage, and update recognition and technical files related to conditioning techniques.
• →Collect, structure, and process technical information, analysis results, and quality data.
• →Technically substantiate that applied conditioning processes and end products meet applicable quality and acceptance criteria.
• →Ensure completeness, correctness, consistency, and traceability of the files.
• →Follow up on files throughout the entire recognition or assessment process.
• →Support quality assurance around conditioning processes and products.
• →Interpret QA/QC data and technical results.
• →Assess and document deviations.
• →Verify that results meet established specifications, procedures, and criteria.
• →Contribute to the correct and demonstrable application of applicable quality requirements.
• →Analyze and interpret results from laboratory tests and technical investigations.
• →Collaborate with laboratory technicians and other technical specialists in assessing test results.
• →Critically analyze results and translate them into technically substantiated conclusions.
• →Establish connections between material properties, mortar compositions, applied conditioning techniques, and the final result.
• →Process relevant findings into technical notes and recognition files.
• →Build and maintain expertise in conditioning techniques.
• →Acquire a thorough understanding of the applied processes and techniques, including the composition and properties of mortars and conditioning matrices.
• →Follow up on technical information, standards, procedures, and relevant regulations.
• →Understand and critically assess the existing technical operation without being responsible for process or installation design.
• →Contribute to the safeguarding and transfer of knowledge within the team.
• →Support operating engineers from your area of expertise.
• →Act as a substantive sparring partner for questions regarding conditioning, quality, and documentation.
• →Analyze and structure technical information so that it is usable within recognition and quality files.
• →Collaborate with various internal disciplines to bring information together correctly and timely.
• →Formulate well-founded advice based on the available data.
• →Work within a highly regulated and quality-driven environment.
• →Follow procedures and agreements meticulously.
• →Document technical decisions and conclusions clearly, structured, and verifiably.
• →Ensure a high degree of accuracy, consistency, and administrative quality.
• →Handle extensive files and long-term recognition processes patiently and carefully.

You hold a master's degree in a chemical, industrial, or technical-scientific field, or possess an equivalent level through relevant experience. You preferably have at least 2 to 3 years of relevant work experience in a technical and/or highly regulated environment. You possess sufficient chemical and technical insight to understand and critically assess processes, materials, analyses, and test results. Experience with QA/QC, quality files, validation, qualification, or recognition files is a significant advantage. Experience in the chemical industry, nuclear sector, pharmaceutical industry, or a GMP-regulated environment can align well with this role. Knowledge of cement chemistry, mortars, concrete technology, or conditioning techniques is a plus but not an absolute requirement if you are willing to deepen your knowledge in these areas. You can analyze, structure, and translate technical information into clear and well-founded files. You are proficient with the Microsoft Office suite. You are eager to learn and willing to delve into a specialized technical domain.

You work accurately and methodically, take the time to understand information correctly, and feel comfortable in an environment where quality, procedures, and demonstrability are important. You do not need to be constantly in the foreground: you enjoy collaborating, listening to the expertise of others, and building knowledge step by step. Patience, a sense of responsibility, healthy curiosity, and a critical eye are more important than the need to implement large technical changes quickly.
