Tech Manual Project Manager

Job Summary:  The Project Manager will plan and direct project activities, interface with clients and provide Project Management oversight to assigned projects to ensure contractual requirements are met or exceeded within cost and schedule targets. This includes coordinating with all departments, department managers and clients on project-related issues.   Responsibilities: Responsible for the performance of technical projects in accordance with contract requirements. Review of contracts, new or revised scope of work, and other customer requests for project and budget impact. Perform detailed contract/proposal reviews and effectively communicate contractual requirements to project team. Monitor and enforce contractual standards for all project deliverables. Ensure that a plan is developed and followed to meet overall project objectives, as well as all contractual requirements. Lead a Team through a planned project to completion while meeting both cost and schedule targets. Define/review resource allocations with department managers and establish project metrics and schedule objectives for each project. Conduct regular reviews with team to ensure that project performance is on track and fully complies with the requirements of the contract. Immediately notify Sr. ILOG Manager of non-compliant products or schedule slippages and present “get well” plan. Interface with clients and/or OEMs on project-related issues. Function as Integrated Logistics Support (ILS)/Integrated Product Support (IPS) Subject Matter Expert (SME) with clients and provide ILS/IPS Management participation at client meetings. Contribute on a multifunctional project team responsible for development of the Project Plan and Implementation Strategy. Participate in proposal review, preparation, and submission. Represent company, as needed, on project-related travel. Other duties as assigned.   Qualifications: Accredited bachelor’s degree or 5 years of experience in Military  ILS/IPS Management. Experience with DoW in a Military, civilian, or contract position supporting DoW projects. Working knowledge of military industry and standards for Technical Manuals, Provisioning and Training Material product development and delivery. Experience with Contract Review in a Defense Setting ensuring that all work is performed on time, on schedule, and to the level the government requires. Extensive understanding of complex project concepts and applications including project scheduling, resource allocations and budgeting. Possession of excellent technical writing, briefing, and facilitation skills. Demonstrated skill in negotiation, building consensus and achieving compromise. Demonstrated ability to develop and manage a complex project to plan. Demonstrated Technical Leadership Skills. Strong Project Management and Business Operation skills are essential.  Strong computer skills with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Strong oral and written communications skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with all levels of the organization. Excellent interpersonal skills; must be able to work independently and interact effectively with all levels of the organization. Dependable attendance. U.S. Citizen or U.S. Person status.   Desired Skills: Heavy equipment or automotive maintenance experience. Maintenace Analysis, Product Support Analysis, LORA and/or RCM experience.   Security Requirement: Ability to pass U.S. Government Background Screening required.   Office Location and Travel This position is located in Warren, MI.
