Position Overview
KLEO Community Family Life Center (KLEO) is seeking an individual to serve as the Residential Monitor. This role is responsible for completing the day-to-day activities under the direction of the Shift Supervisor. The selected individual will uphold the mission and vision of KLEO while supporting excellence and growth for all program initiatives.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
- Intake new clients and assist with discharge planning.
- Support distribution of meals and snacks including clean up.
- Conduct hourly walking inspections of all areas of the facility.
- Assist with training new staff and volunteers.
- Assist resident(s) with regular laundry services.
- Assist with Custodial and Janitorial duties.
- Assist with stocking food and/or supply deliveries.
- Communicate to all residents and adhere to the shelter rules and policies.
- Attend and participate in staff meetings.
- Respond to emergencies in a timely fashion.
- Work cooperatively with other staff members and programs within shelter.
- Facilitate in laundry of towels and client clothes.
- Performance of all other duties as needed and assigned by the Shift Supervisor, Shelter Manager, Project Manager, Director of Shelter Operations, COO and President/CEO.
Qualifications
Education
- High School/GED or four-years of equivalent experience.
General Physical Requirements
- Exerting up to 15 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 25 pounds of force constantly to move objects, which includes carrying laundry up 4 flights of stairs.
- Standing and walking for extended periods of time while working on-site.
- Able to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with KLEO policy and procedures, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and other federal, state and local standards.
- Able to perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, and other federal, state and local standards.
Skills & Abilities
- Ability to adapt to software applications.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines with solid organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of MS Office products including Outlook, Word and Excel or Google Workspace.
- Experience in providing services to homeless residents.
- Participation as a team player and sensitive to issues of diversity.

- 3rd: 11:00 p.m. - 7:30 a.m.
