About the Role
~1 min readWe are hiring a Class B CDL Driver to handle local food product deliveries to our customers. This is a hands-on delivery position for someone who is dependable, safety-minded, comfortable working independently, and able to provide professional service at customer locations.
Drivers are responsible for getting products to the right location on schedule, handling product safely, and completing the documentation associated with each route.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Operate a commercial delivery truck requiring a Class B CDL
- →Drive assigned routes and make scheduled customer deliveries
- →Safely transport food products from our facility to customer locations
- →Move cases and other products using a hand truck or similar equipment
- →Unload and place merchandise at designated customer locations
- →Stock products at customer locations when part of the delivery
- →Verify deliveries and complete required paperwork
- →Process returns, credits, and refused merchandise
- →Perform required vehicle inspections before and after driving
- →Notify management of vehicle maintenance needs, delivery problems, or other concerns
- →Maintain a clean and orderly delivery vehicle
- →Follow company procedures, DOT requirements, and applicable food safety practices
Requirements
~1 min readThis position requires frequent physical activity during both driving and customer deliveries. The successful candidate must be able to:
- Repeatedly lift and move items weighing up to 65 pounds
- Enter and exit a commercial vehicle multiple times throughout the route
- Stand and walk for extended periods
- Bend, twist, reach, and climb stairs as needed
- Work in outdoor conditions and changing weather throughout the year
- Valid Class B CDL
- Safe and responsible driving history
- Minimum age of 18
- Ability to perform basic math and accurately complete delivery paperwork
- Ability to operate a smartphone and use route or delivery applications
Nice to Have
~1 min read- Previous delivery or route-driving experience
- Food distribution or warehouse experience
- Customer service experience
This is a full-time position with schedules based on production and customer delivery requirements.
- Typical shifts are approximately 8–9 hours
- First shift schedule, start times may be as early as 3:00 AM
- Daily schedules may vary
- Occasional weekend work may be necessary
