IBM Database Administrator

• →Installs, configures, patches and upgrades IBM Db2 databases.
• →Monitors database health, capacity and performance.
• →Manages backup, recovery and disaster recovery procedures.
• →Controls user access and applies database security settings.
• →Tunes SQL and database settings to improve performance.
• →Supports developers with schema changes and deployments.
• →Maintains database documentation and runbooks.
• →Performs other duties as assigned.

• 3+ years of experience administering IBM Db2 databases.
• Experience with Db2 on Linux, UNIX or Windows (LUW) or z/OS.
• Strong SQL and shell scripting skills.
• Experience with backup, recovery and performance tuning.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Continually required to use common office equipment including but not limited to computers, phones, scanners and printers.

• IBM Certified Database Administrator – Db2 certification.
• Experience with high availability tools such as HADR.
• Experience supporting federal government contracts.

Compensation: $68,843 – $76,492 per year
