Security Specialist

• →Implements and monitors security controls for systems and applications.
• →Performs vulnerability scans and tracks remediation of findings.
• →Supports Assessment and Authorization (A&A) activities under the NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF).
• →Develops and updates security documentation such as System Security Plans and POA&Ms.
• →Reviews audit logs and responds to security incidents.
• →Advises development and operations teams on secure configurations and practices.
• →Supports security awareness and compliance reporting.
• →Performs other duties as assigned.

• 5+ years of information security experience.
• Knowledge of NIST SP 800-53, FISMA and the Risk Management Framework.
• Experience with vulnerability scanning tools such as Tenable Nessus or Qualys.
• Security certification such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP or CISM.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Continually required to use common office equipment including but not limited to computers, phones, scanners and printers.

• Experience with SIEM tools such as Splunk.
• Experience with cloud security on AWS or Azure.
• Experience supporting federal government contracts.

Compensation: $85,532 – $95,035 per year
