We’re looking for a skilled, detail oriented Electrical Drafter to support a growing U.S. based manufacturer of advanced X ray inspection systems. Our systems help industries like medical device manufacturing and electronics inspect with speed and precision, and behind every machine is a carefully designed electrical system. You’ll turn engineering input into clear, accurate schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts that our manufacturing team can build and wire with confidence. This is a role for someone who takes initiative, communicates with confidence, and takes real pride in getting the details right, collaborating daily with our U.S. based engineering team.

What you’ll do

• Electrical Schematics & Wiring Diagrams: Create and update detailed electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and interconnect drawings for new systems, subassemblies, and product revisions.
• Panel Layouts & Wire Harnesses: Design control panel and enclosure layouts, and produce wire harness and cable assembly drawings with accurate wire lists, terminations, connectors, and labeling.
• Drawing Standards & Documentation: Produce clean, complete drawing packages that follow company drafting standards and applicable electrical standards, ready for production, assembly, and testing.
• Bill of Materials & Component Data: Build and maintain accurate electrical bills of materials, part numbers, and component libraries, and help confirm parts are correctly specified and available.
• Revision Control & Quality Checks: Review your own drawings for accuracy before submission, and update documentation promptly in response to engineering change requests, keeping revision history clean and traceable.
• Cross Functional Collaboration: Work closely with electrical and mechanical engineers to clarify design intent, coordinate electrical and mechanical layouts, and keep projects moving on schedule.

What you’ll bring

• Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electrical Drafting, or a related field, or equivalent hands on experience
• Proven experience as an Electrical Drafter or CAD Drafter producing schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical, SolidWorks Electrical, or a similar electrical CAD tool
• Solid understanding of electrical symbols, control circuits, wiring practices, and component specifications
• Experience with wire harness and cable assembly drawings is preferred
• Familiarity with UL, NEC, NFPA 79, or IEC standards is a plus
• Experience drafting for machinery, industrial equipment, or electromechanical products is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and a habit of catching errors before they leave your desk
• A self starter who takes initiative and follows through with minimal supervision
• A confident communicator who is comfortable discussing your work and reasoning through design questions with the team
• Clear written and verbal English communication skills for daily collaboration with a U.S. based team
• U.S. work experience is not required. This role is open to skilled drafters regardless of where their prior experience comes from.
