We are seeking a detail oriented, proactive Staff Accountant with a strong accounts payable focus to support a growing U.S. based manufacturer of advanced X ray inspection systems. Our technology helps industries like medical device manufacturing and electronics see what the eye can’t, and our finance team keeps the business running just as precisely. In this role, you’ll own the day to day AP cycle, from purchase order matching and invoice processing to vendor payments and month end reconciliations. Your work directly supports healthy supplier relationships, accurate inventory and cost records, and a clean, audit ready set of books.

Benefits and Compensation

  • Permanent Work from Home
  • Paid Time Off
  • Monthly Performance Bonus
  • Annual Bonus
  • Health Allowance
  • Internet Allowance

What you’ll do

  • Invoice Processing & PO Matching: Review, code, and enter vendor invoices accurately and on time. Perform two and three way matching against purchase orders and receiving records, and resolve price, quantity, and receipt discrepancies with purchasing and operations.
  • Vendor Payments & Cash Timing: Prepare weekly payment runs by check, ACH, and wire, including payments to domestic and international suppliers. Prioritize payments based on terms and due dates, and capture early payment discounts where available.
  • Vendor Management & Fraud Prevention: Set up and maintain vendor records, collecting W9s and required documentation. Verify any banking or address changes through approved verification steps and stay alert to phishing and payment fraud attempts.
  • Vendor Communication & Statement Reconciliation: Manage the AP inbox and respond to vendor inquiries promptly and professionally. Reconcile vendor statements, follow up on past due balances, and keep supplier relationships in good standing.
  • Month End Close & Reconciliations: Reconcile the AP subledger to the general ledger, prepare accruals and journal entries, and support month end close. Help reconcile related accounts such as accrued liabilities, prepaid expenses, and freight or inventory related costs.
  • Reporting, Compliance & Audit Support: Prepare AP aging reports and cash requirement schedules. Support annual 1099 preparation, sales and use tax review on purchases, and gather supporting documents for audits and reviews.

What you’ll bring

  • 2+ years of experience as a Staff Accountant or AP Accountant, with strong full cycle accounts payable experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Hands on experience with an ERP or accounting system such as NetSuite, QuickBooks, SAP, or similar
  • Solid understanding of PO based purchasing, three way matching, and accrual accounting
  • Working knowledge of vendor onboarding, 1099s, account reconciliations, and journal entries
  • Experience supporting a manufacturing, distribution, or inventory driven business is a strong plus
  • Advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and reconciliations
  • Strong accuracy and attention to detail, with a healthy awareness of payment fraud risks
  • Clear, professional written and verbal English communication
  • A proactive, organized mindset and a habit of following through
  • Availability to work during U.S. business hours
  • A reliable internet connection and a dedicated home workspace

How you work

  • Problem solving: You dig into discrepancies, find the root cause, and fix it for good.
  • Teamwork: You partner well with purchasing, operations, and accounting to keep things moving.
  • Sound judgment: You know when to resolve an issue yourself and when to escalate.
  • Planning & organizing: You manage deadlines, payment runs, and close tasks without missing a beat.
  • Professionalism: You represent the company well with every vendor and teammate.
  • Quality focus: You take pride in clean, accurate, and well documented work.
