• Ladybird Grove & Mess Hall is seeking a friendly and organized Host to join our restaurant team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests and ensuring they have a positive dining experience from the moment they arrive.

• →Welcome guests to the restaurant with a friendly demeanor.
• →Provide accurate wait times and monitor waiting lists to ensure efficient guest flow.
• →Manage reservations and coordinate with wait staff about available seating options.
• →Escort customers to their assigned dining or bar areas and provide them with menus.
• →Greet customers upon their departure, thanking them for their visit.
• →Assist guests who require extra attention, such as children or elderly patrons.
• →Answer incoming calls and address customers' queries regarding reservations or menu items.
• →Maintain a clean and organized reception area to create a pleasant first impression.
• →Assist wait staff as needed to enhance overall service delivery.

• Previous work experience as a Host is preferred.
• Strong understanding of restaurant etiquette and health and safety regulations.
• Experience managing reservations effectively.
• Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
• Exceptional communication skills, both in-person and on the phone.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to monitor the entire dining and bar area.
• Availability to work shifts, including evenings and weekends.
• Good physical condition to walk and stand for extended periods during a shift.
• High school diploma is required; hospitality certification is a plus.

• Must have the ability/stamina to work a minimum of 20 hours a week.
• Ability to stand/walk for 8-10 hours per day.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 lbs.
• Will frequently stand, walk, reach, feel, bend, stoop, carry, finely manipulate and key in data.
• Must be able to work in both warm and cool environments, indoors and outdoors.
• Must be able to tolerate higher levels of noise from music and customer traffic.

• Must be able to tolerate potential allergens: peanut products, egg, dairy, gluten, and soy.
• Report to work in a complete required uniform.
• Maintain a well-manicured appearance and persona that reflects the image of the restaurant.
• Meet personal schedule requirements punctually.
• Be courteous, friendly and pleasant.
