We’re looking for a Systems Engineer (Tier 1) who enjoys solving technical problems, working with people, and being part of a fast‑paced, client‑focused environment.
About the Role
~1 min readAs a Tier 1 Systems Engineer, you’ll be the first point of contact for our clients—providing remote and on‑site IT support across Windows and Microsoft cloud environments. You’ll troubleshoot issues, support end users, and work closely with senior engineers and customer success teams to deliver a great client experience.
This role suits someone who enjoys interacting with clients, can explain technical concepts clearly, and takes pride in providing friendly, professional support.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Providing first‑line IT support via phone, email, tickets, and on‑site visits
- →Troubleshooting desktop, hardware, software, networking, and user issues
- →Supporting Microsoft 365 / Office 365 environments (users, mailboxes, permissions)
- →Setting up new users, laptops, desktops, and peripherals
- →Accurately logging and tracking time and work in ConnectWise
- →Knowing when to resolve issues independently and when to escalate
- →Participating in client meetings, reviews, and on‑site support as required
- →Working collaboratively with the wider service delivery and engineering teams
- Experience in a Managed Services or fast‑paced IT support environment
- Hands‑on experience with Microsoft / Office 365
- Strong communication skills and a genuine enjoyment of working with clients
- Ability to explain technical issues in plain English
- Good time management and attention to detail
- A proactive mindset and willingness to learn
- Relevant IT qualification or working towards certifications (e.g. Microsoft, Azure, AWS)
