Lawson Lundell LLP is seeking a talented and highly motivated corporate and securities lawyer with 4+ years of experience to join our Vancouver office. Compensation and Benefits:


The salary for this position ranges from $170,000.00 to $210,000.00, depending on year of call and and relevant experience. Lawson Lundell LLP also offers a comprehensive benefits package, professional development opportunities, and a supportive work environment designed to foster career growth.


Some of the core responsibilities of the role will include, but not be limited to:


  • Assist in the representation of acquirers, targets, boards, committees, shareholder groups and financial advisors in public and private mergers & acquisitions, divestitures, reorganizations, going-private transactions and other strategic transactions (both domestic and cross-border).
  • Draft, review and negotiate key transactional documentation (such as share/asset purchase agreements, subscription agreements and plan of arrangement documents,) consistent with the firm’s market-leading work.
  • Support public and private issuers and investors in equity and debt financings, including drafting offering documents, participating in structuring and execution, and coordinating regulatory processes where applicable.
  • Assist boards and majority and minority shareholders in corporate governance matters.
  • Advise clients regarding securities regulatory compliance, continuous disclosure obligations, and stock exchange requirements.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships; support business development and knowledge-sharing initiatives within the Corporate & Securities group and across the firm.
  • Manage multiple matters concurrently, deliver high-quality work products under time- sensitive deadlines, and contribute proactively to team workflow.

 

Required experience:


  • 4+ years of experience within corporate transactions, corporate finance and securities law
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Confidence in engaging and interacting with clients
  • Exceptional work ethic and commitment to client service
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and organization skills
