Location: Charlotte, NC (Hybrid)
We’re looking for a Data Product Analyst to help transform business needs into trusted, usable data products that power reporting, analytics, and better business decisions. In this role, you’ll help bridge the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring data products are thoughtfully designed, well-documented, and built to solve real business problems.
You’ll have the opportunity to contribute throughout the data product lifecycle, from discovery and requirements gathering to testing, documentation, and ongoing improvement. If you’re curious about data, enjoy solving problems, and like bringing people together to turn ideas into action, this is an opportunity to build your expertise while making a meaningful impact.
- Translate Business Needs into Actionable Requirements: Partner with business stakeholders to understand their goals, reporting needs, workflows, and data challenges. Document requirements and translate discovery findings into clear user stories, development tickets, and acceptance criteria.
- Support Data Product Design and Development: Collaborate with Data Product leads, reporting teams, and data engineers to define data needs, business rules, definitions, dependencies, and expected outcomes.
- Build Trusted Product Documentation: Write and maintain product requirements documents (PRDs), data contracts, business definitions, and usage guidance. Partner with Data Governance and engineering teams to document data structures, quality expectations, ownership, and refresh requirements.
- Validate Data Products and Deliver Quality: Use basic SQL and reporting tools to explore data, investigate discrepancies, and validate results. Prepare and execute user acceptance testing (UAT), coordinate business participation, document defects, and confirm fixes meet acceptance criteria.
- Strengthen Stakeholder Alignment: Communicate requirements, proposed designs, testing results, and product demonstrations to technical and business audiences. Keep partners informed of open questions, issues, and progress.
- Identify Opportunities for Improvement: Monitor product usage, performance, and user feedback to identify issues and opportunities to make data products more accurate, accessible, and useful.
You’ll work closely with Reporting, Data Governance, and Data Product leads, business stakeholders, analysts, and data engineers to bring data products from discovery through delivery. This is a collaborative, cross-functional role where you’ll help connect business priorities with technical execution, build shared understanding, and ensure the products we deliver are trusted and useful. You’ll also have the opportunity to learn from experienced partners as you deepen your understanding of our data ecosystem and product practices.
