VP Strategic Government Commercial & Finance

The finance team at Leonardo UK Ltd are searching for a new VP for Strategic Government Commercial & Finance. In this role, you will establish & set the strategy for Leonardo UK and its subsidiaries for all matters relating to Government Contracting & Accounting.

• Represent Leonardo UK and the wider Group on commercial and financial matters in various UK government, regional and trade bodies to ensure Leonardo has influence on matters commensurate with its status as the second largest Defence contractor.

• Develop and implement a framework of engagement with UK Government on financial/economic policy.

• Review and influence legislation, statutory guidance and contractual matters, providing a strong, trusted, relationship that optimises LUK’s position for UK Defence.

• Provide direction and define policy to ensure compliance with Government statutes and practices operated within the UK Company.

• Provide support to Company-wide interaction with UK MoD and other government agencies

• Define, implement , support and communicate relevant changes to the LUK finance and commercial teams, across the UK, relating to UK Government and MoD contractual/financial matters 

• Commercially astute with desirable legal experience

• Considerable defence industry, policy & contracting experience

• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset

• Strategic critical thinking

• Strong leadership, develops, delegates & empowers

• Results driven / highly motivated

• High Integrity and professionalism

• Single source contracting knowledge
