Mechanical Engineer / Inspector (Building Construction)

Job Title: Mechanical Engineer / Inspector (Building Construction) Location: Iraq Experience Required: 5–7 Years Industry: Construction / Real Estate Job Summary: We are looking for experienced Mechanical Engineers / Inspectors with a strong background in building construction projects. The candidate will be responsible for inspecting mechanical works to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and relevant standards. Key Responsibilities: Conduct inspections of mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and fire fighting systems Ensure all installations comply with approved drawings, specifications, and method statements Monitor site activities and ensure adherence to quality and safety standards Review mechanical shop drawings, material submittals, and technical documents Inspect installation of ducts, piping, equipment, and fittings Witness testing and commissioning of HVAC and MEP systems Prepare inspection reports, checklists, and documentation Identify non-conformities and ensure timely corrective actions Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and project teams for approvals Requirements Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field Minimum 5–7 years of experience in building construction projects Strong knowledge of mechanical inspection standards and procedures Experience in QA/QC and site inspection activities Familiarity with international standards (ASHRAE, NFPA, SMACNA, BS, etc.) Good understanding of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems Strong reporting and communication skills
