• →Support at-risk youth to achieve goals in Individual Case Plans and develop independence, including daily living skills such as cooking, housework, and laundry
• →Encourage and support young people’s interests, education, and engagement with the community
• →Build positive relationships, mentor young people, and collaborate with them to achieve meaningful outcomes
• →Manage behavioural escalations and assist with emotional regulation using trauma-informed approaches
• →Facilitate structured programs and workshops to develop practical life skills and personal growth
• →Work closely with the care team to maintain progress notes, report incidents, and administer medication when required

• Certificate IV in Youth Work, Mental Health or a relevant qualification or willingness to work towards)
• Demonstrated employment history providing support and crisis intervention to at risk young people experiencing complex challenges, including trauma, neglect, homelessness, alcohol and other drug (AOD) issues, and behaviours of concern. Note: Applicants without this experience are unable to be considered.
• Prior experience working with young people from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and/or culturally diverse backgrounds.
• Ability to facilitate structured programs, workshops and activities that develop independent living skills
• Strong interpersonal and mentoring skills with the ability to maintain professional boundaries while building positive relationships
• Current Provide First Aid (HLTAID011) and CPR (HLTAID009) certificates
• Current unrestricted Driver’s Licence

Experience delivering behavioural management approaches including TCI, positive behaviour support, trauma informed care or residential care models such as Sanctuary or CARE will be highly regarded.

Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check, WA Working with Children Check and WA DCP395 check.
