Youth Advocate. Permanent Full Time - Burnie

• Relevant qualifications and/or experience in Youth Justice, with a willingness to complete further training. Lived experience and cultural knowledge will be highly regarded. 

• Experience supporting young people through coaching, mentoring, role modelling and goal setting. 

• Strong communication, interpersonal and relationship-building skills. 

• The ability to work collaboratively with young people, families and a range of stakeholders. 

• A flexible approach and willingness to travel to provide outreach support. 

• A commitment to completing required induction and training, including Basic Advocacy Training (BAT). 

• A current Driver Licence. 

• A current Provide First Aid Certificate. 

Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and TAS Working with Vulnerable People Check.
