Occupational Therapist – Adult Social Care

Liquid Personnel is recruiting for an experienced Occupational Therapist to join Surrey County Council's Adult Social Care service, working across the East C2C and West C2C teams.

This is an excellent opportunity for an Occupational Therapist with adult social care experience to support residents in maintaining their independence, wellbeing and safety within their own homes.

You will manage a varied caseload of adults requiring Occupational Therapy assessments and interventions, working collaboratively with residents, families, carers and multidisciplinary professionals to identify strengths, reduce barriers and develop practical solutions that promote independent living. 

• →Recognised Occupational Therapy qualification.
• →Current HCPC registration.
• →Experience working as an Occupational Therapist within adult social care.
• →Local authority experience.
• →Experience undertaking Occupational Therapy assessments and interventions.
• →Experience completing moving and handling assessments and reviews.
• →Experience assessing equipment needs and recommending appropriate solutions.
• →Knowledge of Disabled Facilities Grant assessments and home adaptations.
• →Ability to promote strengths-based practice and support adults to remain safe and independent at home.
• →Strong communication, assessment, clinical reasoning and report-writing skills.
• →Ability to manage a varied caseload, prioritise competing demands and contribute to duty work.
• →Ability to maintain accurate case records and comply with data protection requirements.
• →Valid UK driving licence, access to a business-insured vehicle and willingness to travel across Surrey.

Desirable Requirements: 

• →Knowledge of LAS or similar local authority case management systems.
• →Experience assessing and arranging Technology Enabled Care (TEC).
• →Experience working collaboratively within multidisciplinary adult social care teams.
