Adult Social Worker - Learning Disability

Liquid Personnel is currently recruiting an experienced Adult Social Worker to join the Learning Disability Team at Somerset.

Responsible fora caseload of varying complexity, commensurate with ability and qualifications, receiving and responding to referrals from various sources.

• →Community Care, integrated careprogramme approach andrisk assessment to work to protect the safety and protection of individuals.
• →Statutory reviews andcomply with appropriate legislation, policy andprocedures.
• →Assess client needs in consultation with them and with otherprofessionals and agree levels of support.
• →The need to engage with people refusing a service who are at risk to self or others.
• →The need for sensitive negotiation when assessing service users and carers where there is conflict or lack of insight.
• →Effectively managepeople presenting in crisis needing a quick resolution, using relevant legislation and resources.
• →Statutory responsibility for the assessment of carers (including young carers) needs and the formulation of a carers care pl

• Professional Qualification: A recognised professional qualification in social work, such as an MA, BA, BSc in Social Work, Diploma in Social Work, or CQSW (Certificate of Qualification in Social Work).
• Registration: Must be registered with Social Work England, the regulatory body for social workers in England.
• Experience: 2+ years post qualified experience as an adult social worker in a statutory setting. 
• Knowledge of Legislation: Thorough understanding of relevant legislation, such as the Care Act 2014 and the Mental Capacity Act 2005.
• Skills: Strong assessment and analysis skills, as well as the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Driving Licence: A full UK driving licence and access to a car are often required for client visits.
