Occupational Therapist

Our client is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join their Adult Social Care service on a locum basis. This role focuses on assessing functional needs, supporting residents with equipment and adaptations, and promoting independence within the community.

• →Carry out functional assessments for adults with physical disabilities, frailty, or complex needs
• →Prescribe equipment to promote safe moving & handling and independence
• →Make recommendations for minor and major home adaptations
• →Collaborate with physiotherapists, social workers, and external partners
• →Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation
• →Prioritise caseloads effectively in line with service demands
• →Contribute to safeguarding and risk assessments where required

To be successful in this role you must have,

• HCPC‑registered Occupational Therapist
• Experience in community OT practice
• Strong knowledge of moving & handling, equipment prescription, and adaptations
• Ability to complete clinical recording and reporting to high standards
• Car driver desirable but not essential
