Occupational Therapist – Urgent Response Team

Liquid Personnel is seeking a proactive and motivated Occupational Therapist to join its client's Urgent Response Occupational Therapy Team based in Barnet. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a specialist service providing rapid assessments and interventions for residents at immediate risk of injury, helping to prevent hospital admissions and support safe community living.

The Role:

Working across the London Borough of Barnet, you will undertake urgent Occupational Therapy and Moving & Handling Risk Assessments for complex cases requiring timely intervention.

This is a busy and rewarding role that requires strong clinical reasoning, excellent manual handling expertise, and the ability to work independently while contributing positively to a close-knit team.

The successful candidate will participate in a weekly Duty OT rota and work closely with colleagues to deliver a responsive and high-quality service.

You will assess referrals involving:

• →Unsafe transfers and mobility situations presenting an immediate risk of injury.
• →High-risk moving and handling concerns affecting service users or carers.
• →Safeguarding concerns relating to equipment or manual handling.
• →Equipment that is no longer fit for purpose and presents a significant safety risk.
• →Requests for increased care support requiring specialist manual handling assessments.
• →Palliative care cases where alternative specialist services are not involved.

• 1–2 days per week in the office
• Thursday is the team's designated office day
• Hybrid working available for the remainder of the week
