Responsible Manager – Children’s Residential Services

Liquid Personnel is recruiting a passionate professional for its client at Blackpool to take on the pivotal role of Responsible Individual / Service Manager, overseeing a portfolio of children’s homes specialising in Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) and Learning Disabilities. What will your responsibilities be?

As the Responsible Individual and Service Manager, you will:

• Provide strategic and operational leadership across a cluster of children’s homes, ensuring exceptional care, safeguarding, and full regulatory compliance
• Support, coach, and appraise Registered Managers to foster a culture of high performance, professional growth, and reflective practice
• Lead governance and quality assurance processes to ensure services consistently deliver positive outcomes for children and young people
• Oversee the development and registration of new services, including recruitment and implementation of therapeutic care models
• Maintain oversight of Ofsted requirements and lead preparations for inspections
• Deliver regular performance, regulatory, and growth reports to the Board

Qualifications & Experience

We’re looking for a values-driven leader who can inspire and influence at all levels. The ideal candidate will have:

• Proven experience managing and leading multiple children’s homes, with expertise in EBD and/or Learning Disabilities
• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
• Eligibility to register with Ofsted as a Responsible Individual
• Strong understanding of safeguarding, compliance, and current regulatory frameworks
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and organisational skills
• Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel across multiple sites
