Liquid Personnel is recruiting an experienced School Social Worker – Safeguarding Lead for its client’s independent school based in Surrey. This is a permanent, non-teaching position offering a salary of £45,900 - £54,060 per annum, depending on experience.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced safeguarding professional with a Social Work background and previous experience working within a school or educational setting. The successful candidate will play a key role in leading safeguarding practice, promoting child welfare, and supporting a strong culture of safeguarding across the school community.

Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Lead the day-to-day safeguarding and child protection arrangements across the school.
- →Manage safeguarding concerns, referrals, and multi-agency involvement to achieve the best outcomes for children.
- →Provide expert safeguarding advice and support to staff, pupils, and families.
- →Liaise effectively with Children’s Social Care, police, health professionals, and partner agencies.
- →Maintain accurate safeguarding records and ensure compliance with statutory guidance and legislation.
- →Promote a strong safeguarding culture and support the delivery of safeguarding training across the school.
- A recognised Social Work qualification.
- Current or previous Social Work registration.
- Significant experience in safeguarding and child protection work with children and families.
- Experience working within a school or educational setting.
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding legislation, statutory processes, thresholds, and multi-agency working.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and relationship-building skills.
- A child-centred approach and commitment to achieving positive outcomes for young people.
